American diploma:

The American diploma is the American high school certificate that corresponds to the Saudi high school, and it depends on several different things within an integrated system of education. And it is the only institution responsible for this exam and syllabus all over the world.

The American diploma is divided into 3 sections:

1 – SAT I . Exam
2 – SAT II exam
3 – GPA

First, the SAT I test:

The old system (does not work as of May 2016)

This exam is the most important, as it obtains 75% of the total marks. The entire SAT exam depends on the “Choose” options, except for essay writing and some math questions.
This exam consists of three core subjects (Reading – Writing – Math)

The Reading
It is a subject that depends mainly on literature, novels and articles. The student must read the passages and answer questions such as: What did the writer mean, what was his tone, was it serious or sarcastic, etc..
It also depends on memorizing words and intelligent thinking while reading.

It is a subject that depends on grammatical rules, “grammar”, spelling errors, verbs, and tenses, with the student’s knowledge of all the rules and applying them with an intensive solution, he will have mastered this subject because, as we mentioned, it depends on the rules and the student’s knowledge of them.

The Math
Math depends largely and fundamentally on all the stages that the student has previously studied in previous years. In the exam you will find questions from the first grade to the secondary stage in all the stages between them.. The solution depends on intelligence, quick thinking, and knowledge of the rules well.

The total score is 1600 instead of 2400, and it is divided into two parts

1- Reading & Writing (800)

2- Math (800)

Secondly, the SAT II exam:

This exam is given to only students who are going to enter scientific colleges such as medicine and engineering. This exam consists of 4 subjects, from which the student chooses only two subjects, according to the college he wishes to enter. Its subjects consist of Math, Biology, Chemistry, Physics.”
This exam acquires 15% in the case of entering a scientific college.

Third, the GPA

It is the grades that the student obtains in school and are based on school subjects, work of the year, etc..
And these substances account for 40% of the total.
